Jake's One Month Photos
Jake is 4 weeks as of today (one month as of Tuesday the 16th) and I can't believe how fast this month has passed. It's amazing how quickly and easily he fit into our lives-- just like he was suppose to be here the entire time. Isn't it amazing how children fill a void you never knew you had? Something I did with Rylee and now am doing with Jake is taking monthly photos through Target's portrait studio. It's fun to see how much they change month to month and it's great to have nice, good-quality pictures of them. Not to mention they're pretty cheap! Only $8 for their package which inclues quite a lot of prints! Anywho.... I compared Jake's one month photos to Rylee's one month photos and am AMAZED how similar they look. I thought that I saw *some* of Rylee in Jake, but now looking at them at the same age, it's crazy how much they resemble each other! Here's some of Jake's photos (PS - a big thank you to Uncle Duane and Aunt Vic for the cite "Future MVP" outfit and Jan Leonelli for the adorable little Doggie blanket). If you want to see all of them, go to https://www.thesmilestation.com/home.asp?AC=LTTT0765108138TAR and enter Jennifer Offringa as the customer name.

Sisterly Love
Right now Rylee is really into stickers. She (tries to) put them everywhere. She likes to put them on her paper, on her craft table, on her highchair, tries to put them on the bathroom door, decorates daddy's feet with them and the other day, she thought that Jake needed some decoration too. Leave it to a sister to dress you up in girly stuff. This is just the beginning.

Good Eater

Good Eater
Anyone who knows Rylee knows she a little tyke and food to her is simply just to re-fuel so she can run around some more. She's not (and never) been one to sit in her highchair for a long time (i.e. 20 minutes or longer) and eat a big meal. However, she will eat (or at least try) almost anything. Today we had Thai Chicken and Shrimp Stirfry with rice. I wasn't sure how she would do with it but she LOVED it! :) She ate up the chicken, broccoli, green beans, snow peas, carrots and even the red bell peppers. She tried the Shrimp and although I didn't think she liked it at first, it was gone by the time she was finished! Alright! She even organized her food based on color. lol It was too cute. I'm SO thankful that we have a toddler who will eat practically anything we put in front of her! Considering that I really like to cook, it's makes me so happy to be able to expose her to a variety of foods and flavors. Mommy and Rylee are going to have a great time cooking when she gets a little older. I can't wait! Here's a photo of her eating and cleaning her plate! :) Yum Yum!
