The other day Rylee decided that she wanted to be a big girl and start eating meals from the chairs at the table instead of her highchair. This was from no prompting of our own. We just said that it was dinner time and she walked over, climbed up onto the chair and sat there patiently for dinner. We asked if she wanted to sit in her highchair, to which she responded as-a-matter-of-factly "No."
So we all sat at the table and ate our dinner.....for about 5 minutes! :) She then got distracted, got down and wanted to play. After 2 times of her doing this and telling her that it was either the big girl chair or the highchair....in the highchair she went! But that's okay. Every meal she stays a little longer, so we're making progress! She's a little short still to fully reach the table, but she manages. We're going to need to get her a booster chair!
we use a booster seat for Peer. He doesn't buckle in, yet the sides are high enough to keep him relatively in place. Gotta watch him because he could still fall out, but it's been a good transition to a regular chair!
