The church behind our house had little Oktoberfest Car Show so we threw the kids in the stroller and walked over. It was fun checking out different cars - classic cars, military cars, even some firetrucks- letting the kids jump in the bounce houses (which were free!) and playing on the playground. It was a nice, relaxing morning. Once the kids started getting a little grumpy we grabbed snow cones for them, tri-tip sandwhiches for us and walked back home. Darrin and I both commented on how nice it is that the kids are a little more self-sufficient now. We didn't really have to run after them too much - just let them play and run around on their own. We're really enjoying this stage!! :)
Daddy showing the kids one of the types of cars he use to drive. :) Darrin looked into the front seat and said "oh, this one has a key. That must be convienent!" lol
Halloween!! We had a great time this Halloween with the kiddos. They both were USC-ers. Rylee was a USC Cheerleader and Jake was just a USC sports player. Their preschool had a cute little parade that morning where they all walked around the playground and each teacher gave some candy and toys. Then that night, we went to the Harvest Festival at Darrin's parents church. Cindy is in charge of putting on the entire event and she did a great job! The kids had a BLAST playing games, getting candy, Rylee got her face painted, bouncing in the multiple bounce houses and Jake spent a looooong time at the playdough station! I couldn't get him off of it! We all had an awesome time. And the best thing is that although the kids got lots of candy from the day, they really didn't eat much of it! We still have a nice little stash in a bowl on our counter. Mommy's doing a great job at fixing that problem, though. :)

Pregnancy Update!!! This pregnancy is FLYING by. I am constantly forgetting how far along I am and feel like a pretty bad mom when people ask me and I have to say "ummm....I dunno exactly." I've been telling people that I'm 6 months but I just realized that I'll be 28 weeks on Tuesday, which means about 7 months and entering into my THIRD TRIMESTER!! Which makes me feel a bit better considering I am feeling much bigger this pregnancy then my last ones and have been dealing with some serious self-esteem issues. At least I can say that I'm in homestretch and that's why I'm so big, right? :) Anywho - we went and got a 4D Ultrasound of Brooklyn yesterday (Saturday the 19th). All the grandparents came and it was so much fun to spend time with them and let them have this fun sneak peek of Brooke. The kids actually did really well and totally (kind of) understood the whole concept. Jake looked up on the screen, gasped and said "BABY!!!" :) Rylee had fun guessing what color hair and eyes Brooke will have (for your information, she's convinced that Brooke will come out with pink hair and purple eyes. :) So pretty, right?) Anywho - Brooke moved around A LOT (totally normal for her) and we were able to get a lot of fun photos of her face. She even yawned qite a few times, which is just so darn cute!! We're so excited for you to come and join our family, Brooklyn! We can't wait to meet you!
Brooklyn at almost 28 weeks gestation. Large photo is of her face with her hand on the side by her eye and forehead, the top right photo is of her yawning and bottom photo is of her little, itty, bitty foot. Here's a little video too!
