The Brooke-ster is 5 months old now. She's getting pretty active and her personality is starting to shine through. She's still super adorable and so very happy. Here's some fun facts and photos! Enjoy! Brooke rolls EVERYWHERE!! She is definitely starting to get on the move. Blankets no longer can contain her as she rolls and scoots and turns all of the floor. She's even starting to try to get up on her knees as she pushes and kicks her legs. *sigh* That means crawling is close!! My vacuum is now permanently stationed in my living room and is used more times during the day than I can count. I need to go through the house and start to re-baby poof everything pretty soon and get back into the "curious infant" stage. Case-in-point, that cord on the floor. Don't worry, I moved it as soon as I finished taking the photo! :)
We've got a teether! Brooke is in full fledged teething mode, with drools, chews, and random bouts of painful screaming. Teething gel and some rubber teethers are our best friends at the moment and soon, the frozen washcloth will be too!
Thankfully though, the teething has yet to majorly affect her sleeping. She still is a great sleeper, going to bed about 8:30ish and sleeping until about 7am or whenever the big kids wake up and make a bunch of noise. :) Sometimes, she may wake up once, but she either calms herself down and goes back to sleep or all I need to do is maybe change her diaper, gives her some cuddles and then back to dreamland for Brookie-poo.
I conquered a fear a couple weeks ago and took all 3 kiddos to the park by myself. It sounds dumb, but it was a big deal to me. :) Brooke had fun chewing on her hands, hanging out in the shade and watching Rylee and Jake play on the playground! :)
She is not sitting up on her own yet, but she can sit unsupported if propped up on her hands. It's so cute, especially when she stars to fall to the side. I can't help myself but to shout "TIMBER!" :)
And that's about it for our happy, happy girl! She's not eating solid foods yet as I haven't really felt her showing any signs of needing anything other than breastmilk. However, that might change in the next month or so! We can't believe how fast she's growing and how wonderful she fits in with our family. Juggling the 3 kids can definitely be tough at times but having such an easy baby sure does help! Can't wait to see all the changes in this next month! Until then! Hugs!
