Rylee's First Haircut!
Rylee was born with practically no hair and there were times I thought she'd be bald forever! :) But finally the time came that she needed her first haircut! My very dear friend Kim (we've been friends for over 11 years now) is a fabulous hairstylist at Lux Salon and Spa in Fullerton (hint hint -- if you want your hair done, call her up!). So when I was getting my hair done the other day, Darrin brought Rylee by to have her first haircut!! She was quite wiggly but Kim did a great job ---even despite her shaking her head all over the place! :) Here's a couple pics:
Belly 34 weeks!
I'll be 34 weeks (8 and half months) on Monday which means I have about 6 weeks left until little Jacob graces us with his presence. Here's a pic of my bare belly.... I feel pretty big! He seems to be really squished in there - I can feel him at the very top of my stomach (he likes to get his foot under my ribs.... not the most fun!) but at the same time, I feel him down by my hips. So he's just everywhere! I'm becoming more and more uncomfortable and can't really be in one position for too long of a time. But that's pretty normal with being in the last leg of pregnancy! We've been really blessed that I've had such a wonderful pregnancy thus far. Praise God for a healthy baby and keeping mama healthy!
Thanksgiving
This year, we had a very special thing to be grateful for: Darrin's Grandma on his dad's side came down from Oregon. This is the first time in years that she's been down here and the first time in 12 years that they had an "Offringa Family Thanksgiving". It was such a special time for all of us! We were able to spend time with her and family on both Wednesday and Thursday. Darrin had to work in the afternoon on Thanksgiving day -- so Rylee and I met Darrin at work and brought pies to the station. Boy were those guys excited to see Pumpkin and Apple Pies!! :) It was fun to spend the day together as a family as much as we could and to say Thanks to all the guys working to keep us safe on this Thanksgiving holiday! We didn't get any photos of us at the station, but here's some of us on Thanksgiving.
That's about it for now! Tuesday we're getting Maternity photo done, so I'll post the link when we get those! Have a wonderful weekend!
