Such a fun age!!

I just had to blog this morning about how much FUN Rylee is at this age. She's been doing such funny things and I love to see her personality come out a little more each day. She's also developing more and more - it's so awesome to be able to witness this awesome transformation in her. HEre's a little list of fun things she's been doing. I'll try to get some pictures of each soon.

Funny faces : It's so much fun. We play "funny faces" and she'll stick her tounge out or make an "O" face. It's too cute! Then I'll do it back to her and she just cracks up. Oh...that laugh is like music directly from angels. I could listen to it all day long!

Singing herself to sleep: Rylee's always been a good sleeper but the other day she did the cutest thing. Her night time music had stopped and she obviously hadn't fallen asleep yet. So instead of complaining - she started singing to herself. I heard her from the other room and after a couple minutes of this singing - I went to check on her. She was just laying down, all snuggled up with her head on her pillow....singing. It was too cute. I kissed her and turned her music back on. She fell right asleep. But I love that she just laid there and sang. I wish I would have caught it on video!

Somersults -- She just started doing this in the past few days. She stands with her feet in a wide stance, puts her head on the floor and tries to do a somersault. She actually hasn't gotten the hang of flipping over yet - but she's trying and has SO much fun in the process! I think the upside down persepctive is fun to her too, because many times she just gets in this postion, looks around and giggles. It's hilarious!

Communnication-- This is SUCH a great age b/c she's really really starting to communicate. INstead of grunting or just pointing or throwing a big tantrum - she's getting better and better at just telling me what she wants. She'll sign food as she says "mama...food?" or if she needs help with something, she'll either bring it over to me or take my hand and pull me to it and say "Help?". She LOVES her bath and often pulls me to the bathroom door and says "bath" or points to her teeth and says "tee" (for brushing her teeth). SO wonderful! It makes things so much easier now that I don't have to try and guess everything. Thank you Rylee for making life just a little easier on mama!

Crafts -- We started doing a craft time during our day. It's normally at 11am - the time when she gets a little fussy and needs to do something different. I went to the dollar store the other day and bought a bunch of fun craft things -- stickers, construction paper, more crayons, popsicle sticks, puff balls, pipe cleaners..... just a bunch of fun stuff. She can't really do much at this point and of course, it doesn't hold her attention for long. But for about 10-15 minutes we'll sit there and color and put on stickers and what not. It's fun to be able to do this with her. If you know Rylee at all - doing one thing for 10 minutes or so is a HUGE thing. She's normally very very active and doesn't do anything for more than a couple minutes (hey... she's a toddler. What do I expect? :) ). So I'm taking huge advantage of this time! :) I hope it just keeps getting better from here!
