In June I posted about Rylee loving to dress up and just having such a great imagination. Well here's another thing to add to that --- pretending to do hair. Here's a video I grabbed of Rylee doing the dog's hair. Just FYI - the dog does not "Growl" at her, she just "Grumbles". Baby the dog does this when she's annoyed. She also grumbles when she's sleeping on our bed and we try to move her. :)
Another exciting thing is that our little peanut started swim lessons last week. It's a 30-minute mommy and me class that meets every day for two weeks. At first I thought it was going to be kind of hard going every single day (and it is a big committment since it's smack in the middle of our morning), but after a couple days we quickly got into the swing of things and have been LOVING it! We're going with my good friend, Britni and her daughter Ava. It's fun to do things with a friend (for both of us!) and the girls have gotten pretty close. When we pull into the parking lot Rylee always says "AVA??" :) It's so cute
When swim lessons first started I told Britni that I assumed this would just be an "introduction to water" type class. The ages are from 6 months - 3 years, so I figured that they wouldn't be getting into anything too too intense. Boy was I wrong! The first day they were being dunked under water and pushed (supposed to swim) towards the instructor in the middle of the circle. It was pretty crazy. By the end of the two weeks they were jumping off the diving board!! Rylee even got a little certifcate and a lollipop at the end. She didn't care about the certificate. :) The exciting thing is that the teacher attached a little card stating that Rylee was ready to go onto the next class that is NOT a mommy and me class. Normally these classes are reserved for ages 3 and up. I'm hoping to get her into one soon. It's such a blessing that she's able to go into one of these classes since it's too hard to find someone to watch Jake every single day with a mommy and me class. It's still not final yet, but I'm waiting to hear back to see if there are any openings.
Here's a little highlight reel I put together of her 2 weeks at swim class:
