First of all -- his 2 top teeth FINALLY broke through!! It looks like this kid doesn't know how to grow teeth one at a time. His bottom two teeth came in together and now his top 2 did the same thing. No wonder he's been waking up screaming his little head off. So now, he is officially a 4-toothed boy. :) So cute (except when he tries to bite mommy when he's nursing.....not so cute then). :)
See them peeking through right there? They come out more and more every day!
He's also murmuring a lot and has been saying "mama" and "dada" quite often. For awhile it was just him murmuring the consonants -- but I think he's really starting to identify us. The other day I got him out of his crib and as I walked in he said "Mama!!!" :) He also frequently holds one hand out and says "MA!!!" So that's REALLY fun!! I haven't been able to capture it on video yet, but when I do -- you all will be the first to know!! :)
The other major milestone is that he's been starting to take a couple steps! WOOHOO! He still lacks confidence, but he's getting there. Here's a video of him taking a couple steps by himself. It's more of a step or two and then a fall. :) Forgive the poor quality -- I was holding the camera while coxing him to come to me. So you can't see things too too well. But here ya anyways!
Jake loves to laugh. And I love to make him laugh. Here's a quick video of mommy and Jake playing peek-a-boo.
