I discovered yet ANOTHER tooth that popped through on Jake. It's on the bottom, and just one this time. I didn't even realize he was teething. Probably because it was only one and not two-at-time that he's been so famous for up until now. This makes a total of 5 teeth for our little guy. Seriously, this kid is going to be eating steak by his first birthday. Birthday party at Gullivers Restaurant, anyone? :) :)
On more of a Rylee update:
The kids and I had fallen into a very bad habit of eating in front of the TV, even breakfast. I hate it. I swore we would NOT be that family, and then there we were -- mindlessly eating while fixated on moving pictures. Not saying that it's bad to (or that we won't still) do it every now and then, but it got to be all too common in our household and I was determined to change! We recently purchased some booster seats that attach onto our dining room chairs, so with that I've been trying to stick more with meals only around the table. During Breakfast, we've also started using that time to read the Bible and try to memorize verses. So much better use of our time then watching TV! I know Rylee's only two but I also know that the sooner I help to ingrain the Lord's Word into her mind, the easier it will be for her in the future. I may not be able to choose what she's exposed to in the "real world" but I can sure as anything control what she's exposed to in our home. Not to mention it IS my respondsiblity to train her up in the way she should go, right? I love listening to her repeat the verse to me and mess up portions of it. :) I love when she says "Read with you mama? Read Bible with you?" I mean, really - how can your day go bad when you start it with the Lord and teaching your child His Word? It's good for everyone.
Amen, Jenn!
