Rylee will be 4 years old at the end of next month. First off - how did that happen? And second - how did she become such a grown up little lady? I know this is probably all normal stuff for almost-4-year-olds, but it's my first time at this stuff and I'm continuously floored by her vocabulary and communication skills. For example, this evening for dinner I told her she could choose one fruit from our fruit bowl to have with dinner. Of course, like a true female, she wanted all of them.
Rylee: "ummm I'll have a banana, an orange, an apple and watermelon"
Me: "You need to choose just one"
Rylee: ummmm.....I'm thinking.
Me: *silent - patiently waiting*
Rylee: it's a hard choice, right?
Me: *chuckle* yup, kind of .
Rylee: Yea, they're all yummy and tasty!
Me: *lol* yup, they all are pretty good! Which one would you like?
Rylee: ummm...I'll have a banana, please. Jake! Which one do you want? You can have an orange ooorrrr a banana, ooorrrrrrr an apple or some yummy watermelon! Which one do you want??
ha ha ha. No lie - that's the exact convo we just had. How did this little girl --this little human -- emerge from the baby I held in my arms just a few short years ago? I'm just trying to hold onto each little moment in this whirlwind of childhood.
I agree they grow all too fast. My Brooklyn will be 8 in November I feel like I just had her.
