Offringa household update - Easter time!

Life's been pretty busy lately. Crazy. Tiring. Overwhelming at times. And absolutely wonderful. Babies make life better. Easier...not so much... but so much better.
Here's a little photo breakdown of what we've been up to lately, in no particular order because, well, I just wanted the photos to upload and am too tired to care to arrange them all. :) Enjoy.

Dying Easter eggs with Daddy

Easter with Grandmama. And didn't you know? Hunting for eggs is so much better when doing it in your underwear. At least, that's what Jake thinks.

Easter with the Schroyer clan! My mom was super smart and color coded the kids' eggs with their Easter basket. Whatever color your basket was, you were to look for those colored eggs.....and yellow ones, because yellows were a freebie. The kids loved looking for their specific eggs and even helped each other. WIN for Mimi! :)

I took all THREE kids to Sams Club by myself. That's right....I am awesome. Go ahead, you can say it. :) And the kids were super amazing too - hardly a fight between them and even remember my grocery list for me. I put Rylee and Jake in the cart and I wore Brooke. I did, however, get several of those "oh my goodness, look at that woman and ALL her kids" look. To which I kind of chuckled to myself and held my head a little higher because I was kind of thinking the same thing: "HOW am I doing this??" OH...and some strange lady took an akward amount of time rubbing and patting Brooke's back (while she was still attached to me), while talking to her friend in another language and simultaneously telling me what a great job I did by having another girl. um.....thanks.

Hanging out with Brooke. Jake's the best big brother, ever!
For Easter I made German rolls called Zwieback. The batch feeds an army or the typical mennonite family. Kneading 14 cups of flour by hand makes some very tired fingers but very yummy rolls.

Jake and Kate sneaking a smooch. We're totally arranging their marriage.

Color coded treasure hunt. We just colored egg cartons and then the kids went outside and we went a-huntin' for things to put in each color. It's fun. We also have been painting with shaving cream. Cheap $1 shaving cream + food coloring + paint brushes = super fun bathtime!

Our sweet doll of a baby, Brooke, at 7 weeks.

And why has Jake been in his undies so much lately? Because He's POTTY TRAINED!!!! That's right - my little man is now officially a big boy. We're super proud of him and he's super proud of himself. Every time he goes by himself he says "I did it!!!" :) :) Hooray!
