Rylee Update

Rylee is so much fun! She's 21 months now and everyday she's always doing something else that surprises us, amazes us or just makes us laugh. A lot of things are starting to click with her. She's constantly saying new words and doing new things. It's really neat to be able to watch. She's growing up so fast!


We're working on manners and one of those manners is folding hands when Rylee needs to be patient. Tonight at dinner, she started getting a little crazy while I was trying to clean up. I said "Rylee... be patient please" and she immediately folded her hands and calmed down! I didn't even have to tell her to fold her hands this time. WOOHOO! It's s...uch a great feeling when consistency pays off! I was SO proud of her!!



One of my mom's favorite book is "Everyone Poops" by Taro Gomi. A couple of Christmas's ago Darrin bought it for her. So the next Christmas she bought him "The Gas We Pass". :) Today, Rylee decided she wanted to learn about bodily functions, I guess. She grabbed this book, laid down and started reading it intently. ha ha It was funny and oh-so-cute!



Last week Darrin put up some lattice on our patio so that Rylee and the dog could go out and play safely (without the chance of getting out). Rylee LOVES the outside and plays out on the patio for a good portion of the day. Today she wanted to color so I put out a blanket and she laid down on her tummy to draw. She's such a little girl now -- my baby is growing up!
