We spent the afternoon with Papa John and Gma Cindy. The kids loved seeing them and they had a ball marveling how big the kids have gotten in just a week and half. We ate lunch, chatted for a bit, swam in the pool and watched "Finding Nemo". It was a wonderful afternoon. Here's a couple of videos I grabbed as the kids were playing around.
Rylee left her apple slices from lunch out on the floor. Jake found them. Before we knew it, he was chewing away at one. I was about to grab it when I realized he was actually eating it! It was too cute! I'm excited about this because it means that the doors have opened to the wonderful world of finger foods! And he looked oh-so-cute using his two little teeth to munch away!
Toddler years can be tough at times, but there's also SO many amazing things about it. Here's one of the many reasons why I'm loving the stage Rylee's in right now. She's using her imagination to play with dolls and figurines. So much fun to see her sitting there, playing and making her toys talk. I'm also happy that she decided to use Belle as Mama. Thank you, Rylee, for not making me the lion. :) Gosh, we just love this little girl!
