It can be easy for me, at times, to get the "I want our own house NOW" itch. Somedays, I think we should just take the money we have saved up for a down payment and use it already, instead of waiting and saving until the time is truly right. But I also know that we want our house to be a blessing, not a curse. So here we sit. Waiting, saving and trying to be patient.
Then, there are other times when I'm SO HAPPY we still rent!! This past week has been one of those times.
We came home from our weekend camping trip and noticed this wet spot in the drywall next to our bathtub:
We called our landlord right away and fearing that we had a leaky pipe, came over the next day with a plumber. This is now how our bathroom looks: 
Thankfully, there was no leaky pipe, just some water that got into the wall from loose faucet caps. They'll re-drywall it next week and should be good to go! We know that when it's "our time" to get a house, it'l lbe wonderful. But for right now, we're enjoying being able to call up our landlord and have HIM take care of things, rather than us forking over big bucks to get things fixed!! Hooray!
