Last week we had our half-way ultrasound. First things first, everything is looking great!!!! Praise the LORD! The baby has started to kick a lot stronger and we can even feel it on the outside. So much fun to have Darrin and the kids feeling the baby and having it become more real to them!! :) Secondly, I know we've been saying we were going to hold out until delivery until we found out the gender.....but laying on the ultrasound table with the photos in front of us was just too tempting! Our willpower sucks. After a mini debate on if we should cave or not (yes, while I'm laying there in the doctor's office, all covered with the gel :) ) we finally decided to just have the ultrasound tech tell us if it was a boy or a girl. So she looked...........and the baby had its legs CLOSED SHUT. ha ha ha I thought that was funny. After all that debating, we still didn't know! Finally, the tech got the baby to move and we found out that we're having
A GIRL!!!!! :) HOORAY! Darrin and I were 99% positive that it was a girl anyways, so it was fun to learn that our guessing was spot on! We've already decided on a name:

Rylee is SUPER excited that she'll be getting a sister. Can you tell?:
Jake on the other hand...he doesn't relaly understand or care at this point. He does pat my tummy and say "bay-bay" :) It's cute. It's fun to be able to pray for the baby by name now and Rylee keeps pulling out clothes and saying "This is for baby Brookie". I told her that we'll make a "Brooklyn Box", decorate it all girly and then put things in it for Brooke once she's born. She was quite excited. So am I. :)
