Baby Brooke Update

We had an ultrasound on Friday and got to see our little girl for the last time before she makes her big debut! The ultrasound went GREAT and Brooke is very healthy. They estimated she's weighing 5.6lbs right now and will probably gain about another pound to pound and half before she's born. So we're probably looking at around 7 pounds at birth. :) Yay for small babies! :) Speaking of her birth - after talking to our doctor, we decided that it would be best to plan a c-section instead of trying for a natural delivery. We still aren't going to take her early, so she'll be born at 40 weeks, but considering that this is my 3rd c-section in less than 4 years the risks of complications are pretty high with a natural delivery. She'll be born on February 15th and share her birthday with her Papa (my dad)!! :) What a wonderful day!!

Here's a picture of her little foot! So cute, huh? She likes to kick her mommy a lot with those feet!

Her room is also starting to come along. We have it all painted thanks to John and Cindy. It looks great!! I finally chose curtains - these pretty shabby chic white drapes that will look great hanging straight or tied back. I also did a quick little update to the changing table and put on some decorative contact paper. Before it was ugly brown on the shelves. Now it's pretty and girly! :) I want to get some white and yellow boxes or baskets for the shelves too. Her crib will be black (re-using Rylee's crib) and I want to get a wooden rocking chair too. Kind of like an "old school" kind. I think it'll look great in the space. I'm scouring Craigslist everyday to see if something comes up that's a good price! Then I just need to paint the end table to go by the rocking chair and then put decorative touches up on the wall!! All in the next 3 weeks or so. lol No problem, right? :)

Here's a close up of the changing table!! :) See ugly....to pretty! :)

The only photo I don't have is one of me! lol I promise I'll try to get 9 month belly shot here pretty soon!!
