The ending of the car saga....

God is SO GOOD!! Several months ago, I shared how we found out we needed a bigger car for our growing family. Even though it has only been a few number of months - it's seemed like for.ev.er. We prayed and trusted God and saved and said "no" to things so we could save more and we prayed some more and said "no" some more. And in the meantime - God poured out His blessing upon us. He brought people to bless us, He humbled us (ok.....me), and He stretched us in ways that were difficult but so worth it. We learned about ourselves and about God's love each step of the way. It's funny, because I don't think this car situation was really about a car. I have a little feeling God had other reasons for letting us walk this journey. I'm really thankful that He loves us enough to do that. To let us experience uncertainly and pride and slowly let us heat up in the fire so we cling to Him and deepen our relationship with Him. Yea....it definitely wasn't just about a car.

So here we are. Three weeks from the birth of our sweet baby Brooklyn, tired from the journey but loving being constantly dependent on the Lord.

And last weekend, He brought us here

Even though we were convinced we were going to buy something from here


But God had other plans and Darrin had some kind of hook ups who ended up not being able to hook us up but referred us to someone else who had the hook ups who turned out to not really be too great in hooking it up.... but whatever..... :)

So we went. We liked what we saw. We sat for awhile and filled out a bunch of paperwork and we talked price.

and we talked price.

and we talked some more.




And then we took a break because the pregnant lady was getting feisty and needed some Italian Food.

Which turned out to be a great thing because as we were walking to our car, the salesguy yelled out a different price for us. :)

We ate and called them back and talked some more and f.i.n.a.l.l.y agreed. :)

So we wrote one of these....


And drove home in THIS!!!! :) :)

It's wonderful and drives AMAZINGLY and has all these totally fun and unnecessary bells and whistles like automatic everything and a Navigation system and DVD player that we don't want the kids knowing about until we go on a long car ride and a back up camera and sensors that scream at me when I'm too close to something. :) Oh...and seat warmers. Because, you know, it gets way too cold in Southern California and is totally necessary for your bum to not freeze on leather seats. :)

And that's our little car story. Or more of our amazing God story on how He brought us closer to Him and then just poured out His goodness on us.
