Jake is TWO! :)

I'm sorry it's been FOREVER since I've posted. I'm going to try and get back on track! But here's the most important thing that happened recently:

JAKE TURNED 2 YEARS OLD!! :)

That's right, yesterday my baby boy became a 2-year-old and his sister fondly started referring to him no longer as "Jake" but "two-years-old". So all day I heard "Come here 'Two-years-old'" , "No 'Two-years-old' do _______" "Let's go do this 'Two-years-old'" It was quite funny.

We had a little family get together on Sunday afternoon to celebrate his birthday. It was fun to just hang out with family in a relaxed and non-party atmosphere. We had mexican munchies, complete with yummy chips, salsa and guacamole from Don Jose's. yum. I bought way too much chips and salsa (by accident.....of course! :) ) It was a great day! :)

SUCH a neat gift from my sister: A SuperHero Fort Kit!! It was complete with sheets, twine, hooks, clips and everything needed to make the best fort EVER! The perfect gift for a toddler (and his sister :) )



Several days before his birthday we took down "the cage" and turned Jake's bed into a "big boy bed". Darrin needs to put up the toddler rails considering that Jake's fallen out a couple times and ended up sleeping on the floor. Have to admit ...it's kind of funny. lol Overall, the kids are actually doing pretty well with sharing a room and now they BOTH are able to get out of bed. It's not perfect but all things considered, they're doing great! :)


So now I guess I don't really have a "Baby" anymore. Good thing another one is on its way in a month!! ;)
