Time for a big girl bed!

This week Rylee started climbing out of her crib. I really don't know what took her so long...she climbs up and on everything else. We've been holding off putting her into a toddler bed because, frankly, we like that we could contain her in one spot for more than 5 minutes! We loved that we could have quiet time in her crib or at nighttime, we could put her in her crib and she'd might talk and read to herself for awhile, and then she'd eventually fall asleep. But we never needed to worry about what she was getting into or doing.

Well...now that has all changed. We knew it was going to happen one day, and that day has come. Because I was curious as to how she actually climbed out of her crib, right before I took off the footboard and put on the toddler railling, I let her climb out of the crib one last time - while I recorded it. She gave me the wierdest look when I told her she could climb out. The look said "Really? You're going to let me climb out????" ha ha ha. So here it is - Rylee easily and carefully climbing out of her crib.

So now it's onto the transistion into the big bed. Tonight's not been a good night. It's an hour and half after bedtime and she's been out of bed about 15 times already. She'll catch on....I'm just hoping it's sooner rather than later!! As one stage ends, another begins!
