Another fun weekend!

Lots of fun things happening over in our neck of the woods. This weekend, like the last, was filled with super fun stuff. Check out all we did:

FRIDAY: The Fish's Women's Night Out at Yorba Linda Friends!

Friday night the Christin music station "The Fish" hosted a "Women's Night Out" at our church. I went with 2 of my friends and we had such a blast!! Rebecca St. James sung and introduced her super adorable younger brothers who were her band for the night as well as a band themselves called For King and Country. Click the link to check them out. They are adorable and really knew how to play to their audience filled with women! :) They just seem like great young men who are passionate for the Lord. I'm sure they'll have a very successful career!

Marlo Blandford spoke about all we need is Christ and shared part of her testimony which included being in a marriage with a youth pastor who had multiple affairs. :( But God is great and through her life, Christ used hard situations that she experienced to draw her closer to him. She explained that all her life, she always thought "All I need is Christ and _________" (Christ and my career, Christ and a good family, Christ and kids, Christ and my husband). But God allowed her to go through cirsumstances that stripped away everything else so that there was nothing to lean on except for Him. It was a wonderful, powerful testimony and I'm so blessed that she shared her heart and life with us! Afterwards, myself and my friends went out to grab some food. It was a wonderful night of faith and fellowship!

Darrin dropped off Jake that evening with my parents for a sleepover and then took Rylee out for a little Daddy/Daughter date. He is so sweet and although redicudlously vusy - still find ways to put our family first. He knows how important spending one on one time is with the kids - and he often makes special efforts to do just that. Rylee and Daddy went to Chick Fil A and then came home to watch a movie. :) It was a special time for both of them!

SATURDAY: Apple Farms in Oak Glen

Saturday we had a fun Rylee-only day. Just like it's important for the kids to have special one on one time with each parent, it's also important to have special one on one time with BOTH parents. So we took Rylee away for the morning to the Apple Farms in Oak Glen. We met our friends, the Fedlers, at their house and then followed them up to Riley's Rio Los Rancho. We got there early and just hung out for the morning. Ryan and Jen have a little girl, Kate, who is about a year younger than Rylee. The girls had so much fun playing together in dirt and grass, climbing trees just being kids. We went shopping in their little country store, played with the pumpkins that were for sale, walked through the apple orchards (which were closed for the season), hung out at a nice quiet picnic area and ate a super yummy lunch. Darrin had their tri-tip sandwhich which was slow cooked on an outside BBQ. YUM!!! So delcious. They had a live band there too so Darrin and Rylee dance together after lunch. :) Before we left, we let Rylee pick out a lollipop (which she was VERY excited about) and she chose some Animal Crackers to get Jake. She even wanted to get baby Brooklyn something too. So sweet. :) It was such a fun day with friends and a very special 3-year-old! :)

SUNDAY: Gender Reveal Party for the Feds!

As mentioned above, we have some wonderful friends, Ryan and Jen Fedler. They have an adorable 2-year-old, Kate, and are pregnant with baby #2 due in March! Friday they found out the gender of their baby and had a gender reveal party on Sunday with friends and family. It was exciting as we all took a bite into the yellow cupcakes to reveal BLUE frosting inside!!! WOOHOOO!! We're so excited for them to add a boy to the mix. What a lucky little man he is because the Fedlers are amazing parents and just great people in general. We're really blessed to have them as friends. Congrats Feds!

Well...that was our weekend. It just about exhausted me, but we had a wonderful time! Next weekend is the weekend before Halloween! The fun continues.....
